Conferences Lime, Cement, Ecology

Lime, Cement, Ecology conference is held annually since 1993. Important lime expert Mr. Arnost Tucek was the founder of this traditional meeting in the Czech Republic.

The intention of these meetings was and is the mutual exchange of experience of experts from the cement and lime industry in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Lectures on current topics are also given by representatives of ministries of the Czech Republic, verification and certification body.

Traditionally, the three-day conference is held regularly every year in late spring. More information about the next seminar can be found on our website in the News.

Conferences with international participation Concrete Roads

Czech conferences Concrete Roads have been held since 2002 at two-year intervals.

This interval was interrupted due to the international „12th International Symposium on Concrete Roads“ in 2014, which was organized by our Research Institute of Bindiding Materials Prague and EUPAVE (European Concrete Paving Association) in Prague. Research Institute of Bindiding Materials Prague is regulary organizator of conferences Concrete Roads since this year.

Conferences with international participation are held in years 2016, 2018, 2020, etc. The professional guarantors and organizing companies are – Association of Cement Manufacturers of the Czech Republic, STRABAG, a.s., Skanska a.s., Metrostav a.s. and EUROVIA CS, a.s. Media partners are the magazines Stavebnictví and Beton TKS.

ICCC 2019 – 15th International Congress on the Chemistry of Cement

The 15th International Congress on the Chemistry of Cement (ICCC 2019) was held in Prague on 16 – 20 September 2019 and 664 participants were attended from around the world.

ICCC is for scientists, students and practitioners dealing with cement and chemical processes and related applications. 100 years have passed since the first ICCC in London in 1918, and now is held every four years on a different continent. At the 14th Congress in China, the Research Institute of Binding Materials Prague, represented by its director, Ing. Lukáš Peřka, earned the opportunity to hold another 15th Congress for the first time in the Czech Republic in Prague. The Research Institute of Binding Materials Prague together with company the GUARANT International, which ensured extensive organizational work, not only met the requirements of the Scientific Committee at the congress level, but in many ways raised it higher. The main sponsor of the congress, Czech Cement Association represented by its Secretary Ing. Jan Gemrich, who was also Chairman of the Scientific Committee, had a large share in the congress’s success. At the congress there was also established a permanent steering committee, which will be based in Düsseldorf, Germany, and whose secretary will be Mr. Jörg Rickert.

The five-day congress took place from Monday to Friday in the Prague Congress Center. The pre-congress courses for scientists and students were held since the previous weekend under the leadership of world-renowned professors Karen Scrivener and Angela Palomo. The program of the congress was also complemented by two technical excursions, exhibition of laboratory equipment and an extensive exhibition of 174 posters. Altogether 22 main lectures and 222 lectures in 7 sections were presented at the congress. Participants attended the congress from all over the world, with China, Germany, Japan, France and the Czech Republic being the most represented. Slovakia and other European countries, Spain, the United Kingdom and Switzerland were also well represented.
